Anxiety Strategies (Virtual)

Description: Many students with and without disabilities struggle with anxiety. Challenges with anxiety can mean challenges with work completion, behavioral struggles, executive function and many other processes needed to be successful in school. This session will help paraprofessionals understand the effects of anxiety on students and teach paraprofessionals how to help their students manage their anxiety and have a more productive learning experience.

Executive Functioning (Virtual)

Description: Executive functioning skills allow us to manage our time, make a plan, check ourselves for understanding and may more things needed to be successful students. Many students struggle with executive function, including students ASD, ADHD and other disabilities. This session will seek to explore the role of executive function in the lives of students and provide strategies for paraprofessionals to support and improve executive functioning skills in the students they work with.
